Text:   Wesener.- Emma Mae Rhodes, daughter of George and Elizabeth (Hershberger) Rhodes, was born in Washington Co., Iowa, Jan. 30, 1903; died at Wellman, Iowa, Aug. 8, 1987; aged 84 y. On Jan. 1, 1928, she was married to Henry R. Moore, who died on Jan. 17, 1943. On Oct. 1, 1967, she was married to Arthur F. Wesener, who died in 1971. Surviving are 2 sons (Robert and Willard), 2 daughters (Marlene Schrock and Shirley Ann Wiggs), 2 stepchildren (James Wesener and Betty Brown), 12 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren, one brother (Ivan Rhodes), and 3 sisters (Lydia Scalf, Mary Knepp, and Veda Carpenter). She was a member of First Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at Powell Funeral Home, Wellman, Iowa, on Aug. 11, in charge of Sheldon Burkhalter and Wilbur Nachtigall; interment in East Union Cemetery.

Text:   Judith A. Engledow 66, of Zionsville, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005. Judith was a faithful and loving supporter of her husband, Bill G. Engledow, who is currently serving as presiding overseer with Carmel Congregation of Jehovah's Witness. For nearly 47 years, she was a loyal member of Jehovah's Witness and was greatly appreciated by all in numerous congregations throughout the area. She will always be remembered for her kindness and ever constant smile. Judie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family for whom she made many wonderful craft items for them and others to enjoy. Judie was a 1956 graduate of Broad Ripple High School, having been born to Thomas H. and Dorothy Jane Hargitt, then residing in Princeton, IN, but soon after, moving to the Indianapolis area. She will certainly be missed by all. Mrs. Engledow is survived by her husband, Bill G. Engledow; daughters, Susan K. Williamson, Amy L. Scalf; grandsons, Christopher Burton and Andrew Lowe; granddaughters, Avery Scalf and Kristen Williamson. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 in Glendale Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 6349 Rucker Road, Indianapolis, with the memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Zionsville.

Text:   Minnie Scalf Runyon, 80, of Hardy, Ky., died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Ky.
She was born Sept. 10, 1923, at Hardy, a daughter of the late Willie and Verdie Varney Scalf.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Runyon; two daughters, Gertrude Chapman and Judith Ball; and one brother, Luther Scalf.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Belfry Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, L.D. Donald and Ricky Runyon, both of Hardy; Reaford Runyon of Wellington, Ky., Larry Runyon of Olive Hill, Ky., and Carlos Runyon of Ypsilanti, Mich.; five daughters, Mary H. Cundiff of Taylor, Mich., Margarett A. Towlar of Canton, Mich., Connie Cornely Westerville, Mich., Phyllis Hager of Ransom, Ky., and Bernice Hurley of Hardy; one brother, Thomas Scalf; four sisters, Francis Ray, Mary Jackson, Augusta Harrison and Victoria Westmoreland; 40 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Ky. with Minister Buddy Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery at Turkey Creek, Ky.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call anytime Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at the funeral home. A special service is set for 6 p.m.
Rogers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
