Kenneth “Kenny” Lee Scalf, 68 of Ames, died Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Northridge Village in Ames.

Kenny was born October 5, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Frank Scalf and Billie Gora Carson. He graduated from Basic High in Henderson, Nevada. On November 14, 1985, he was united in marriage to Glenda WadeDean Soll in Las Vegas, Nevada. For many years, he had his own painting and decorating business. Kenny had a passion for Mini Coopers and will be remembered for always helping others and never meeting a stranger.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Glenda of Ellsworth; his children: James Mealey, John (Jodi) Mealey, Brennan (Analisa) Munford, Ken (Darci) Scalf and Austin (Samantha) Scalf; his grandchildren: Kaylynn, Wesley, Emma, Lauren, Colin, Crimson, Lex, Liam and Mia; one great-grandchild; his brother, Gary Scalf; his sisters: Debbie (John) Korbe, Sam Scalf and Mary Rautenberg; and his brother-in-law, Wade Soll. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings: Joseph, Lou, David, Brenda Soll, Muriel, Larry, Keith and Wayne.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at a later date.
