On the Marriage certificate where he married Catherine Cook it states he was born in Lawrence Co. KY

James Harvey COOK found his way into Eastern Kentucky Region, from where I do not know. He was married twice, had 7 children by each wife, 2 girls and 4 boys by each. They first started out as farmers as most did in that region at that time, but later on all his boys and the husbands of the 4 girls became *Coal Miners*. They later moved to West Virginia in and around Wayne, Logan and Mingo Counties. Some moved back to Pike County Kentucky in the early 1900's because I was born there in 1929.
